For years, I have been a collector of moments. An observer of the varied interactions of family and of strangers. I saved them like extra buttons in an old cookie tin. Now, these moments have found purpose in my fiction, adding richness to the fabric of stories I’d like to share.
At present, I have two novels in development. More about them to come.
I also write nonfiction in the form of a blog, Treading Water. You can expect short essays on a variety of topics—family, aging, fears, love. Where we hit the mark. Where we miss it. This week, thoughts on the meaning of home. http://carolmalkin.com/hoboken-a-love-story/
The Writings tab includes a short story, Ripples Run Deep, first published in the December 2015 issue of Thrice Fiction Magazine. I am pleased to offer a link to a new story, Follow Me, published in the Lascaux Review. http://lascauxreview.com/follow-me/
If you enjoy what you read, please consider subscribing. I will forward the blog as well as update you on the novels’ progress.
Thank you for visiting.
